4-ingredient banana bread

4-ingredient banana bread

  • Author: Chef Kai

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
(Substitute: Whole wheat or gluten-free flour blend)
  • 2 large eggs
(Substitute: Flax eggs or chia eggs)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
(Substitute: Honey, maple syrup, or coconut sugar; adjust liquids accordingly)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat and prepare the pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
2️⃣ Mash the bananas and mix the base: In a large bowl, mash three ripe bananas until mostly smooth, leaving small lumps for texture. Add two eggs and one cup of sugar, whisking until fully combined and the sugar starts to dissolve.
3️⃣ Incorporate the flour: Gradually fold in two cups of all-purpose flour, mixing gently until just combined to avoid overmixing.
4️⃣ Pour and bake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top evenly. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
5️⃣ Cool and serve: Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, slice and enjoy plain or with your favorite toppings like butter, honey, or jam!

Notes

Pro oh là là tip: For a touch of elegance, drizzle a simple honey-citrus glaze over your cooled banana bread. Combine a tablespoon of honey with a squeeze of fresh lemon or orange juice, and lightly brush it over each slice. This adds a subtle shine and a refreshing burst of flavor, turning your classic 4-ingredient banana bread into a gourmet delight!
