cheesy garlic chicken wraps

Cheesy garlic chicken wraps

  • Author: Chef Kai
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 wraps 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (grilled, shredded, or roasted)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced or 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup sliced onions
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers (assorted colors)
  • 3 tbsp garlic aioli or your preferred sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional:
    • ½ cup crumbled tortilla chips (for added crunch)
    • Sliced avocado
    • Pickles or jalapeños

Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare the chicken: In a bowl, combine cooked chicken with minced garlic (or garlic powder), salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure even seasoning.
2️⃣ Sauté the vegetables: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sautéing for 4–5 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
3️⃣ Assemble the wraps: Warm tortillas in a microwave or skillet until pliable. Spread garlic aioli on each tortilla, then layer with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, seasoned chicken, sautéed vegetables, and shredded cheese. For extra flavor and texture, add crumbled tortilla chips, sliced avocado, or pickles/jalapeños.
4️⃣ Roll the wraps: Fold the sides inward, then roll tightly from the bottom to enclose the fillings. For a crispy exterior, toast the rolled wraps in the skillet for 2–3 minutes on each side until golden brown and the cheese melts.
5️⃣ Serve and enjoy: Slice each wrap in half diagonally and serve with fresh salad, tortilla chips, or a fruit platter. Enjoy!

Notes

Pro oh là là tipTo keep your wraps from getting soggy, sprinkle a layer of shredded cheese directly onto the tortilla before adding wet ingredients like tomatoes and sauces. The cheese acts as a barrier, keeping the tortilla firm and your wrap perfectly intact!
